The Sylvester race started on the initiative of Uno Henningsson and the rescue service in Båstad in 1989. The race has since been taken over by us, Johan and Lotta, who themselves have had the race as a tradition since the beginning. On 31/12, people gather in the gymnasium at Strandängsskolan for late registration, number slips and joint warm-up with Friskis & Svettis.

The race is 5 km and leads into the Malenskogen towards Riviera and back to the finish which is below the hall. There is also a children's race of 1 km for children up to 11 years old.

After the race, there will be an award ceremony and a raffle draw, and of course we will toast together with some non-alcoholic cider. Perfect start to the New Year's celebration for the whole family, group of friends, colleague, their respective etc. All money goes directly to our Spontaneous sports project.
