The new course, inaugurated in 1990, designed by Tommy Nordström, is a course with a park/heath character. The course is more open than the Old Course and offers from the front tees a varied, fun game, where the challenge may be mainly in mastering the raised, undulating greens, while the low handicapper's challenges are in length and in precision to keep the ball on the fairway. Well bunkered greens and water hazards reward the tactical player.

The course has six tees per hole and the playing strategy changes significantly depending on which tee you choose to play from. The course is 4248 meters from the shortest tee and 6069 meters from the longest tee.
