What are cookies?

They are used to make the site work, to remember your choices and, in some cases, to collect statistics about how the site is used. Which cookies do we use?
Our consent tool divides cookies into four categories: necessary, preferences, statistics and marketing. Necessary cookies are always active because the website cannot function without them. The other categories are only activated if you choose to accept them.

These are required for the website to work securely and cannot be switched off.

Statistics
If you accept statistics, we use Google Analytics to understand how the website is used, for example which pages are visited and how visitors find us. These cookies are only set after your consent. If you do not accept statistics, Google Analytics is not loaded at all.

Marketing
If you accept marketing, we use the Meta Pixel (Facebook) to measure how well our marketing performs and to show relevant ads on Meta's platforms. These cookies are only set after your consent. If you do not accept marketing, the Meta Pixel is not loaded at all.

Preferences
The Preferences category is available in our consent tool. We currently do not load any such cookies. If we start using them, we will activate them only after your consent and update this policy with the cookies concerned.

You can also block or delete cookies directly in your browser. How to do this varies between browsers, but you will usually find the settings under Privacy or Security. Note that the website may stop working as intended if you block necessary cookies.
Third-party content
On some pages we display content from external services that may set their own cookies or fetch data from their servers:
- Maps are displayed using the MapLibre map library and fetch map data from an external map service.
- Newsletter is handled by GetANewsletter. Data is only sent there if you sign up via a form yourself.
- Events may be fetched from external event sources and link on to each organiser's website, where their own terms apply.
